Its Autumn. Such a wonderful time of the year. Warm days, and cold nights. Sitting around a fire, roasting marshmallows, with your loved ones around you. Like many of you wonderful people, I love fall. Dont get me wrong, I am and always will be a summer baby. I spend all year, wishing it was summer again. But theres something so romantic about fall.
The kids are all back in school, which means the parents have a little extra time together. Even if its only because the children are sent to bed early, because its a school night.
All the leaves and grasses, are changing colors. Perfect to just sit still with the one you love and bask in its beauty.
Weekends are meant for taking long drives in the country. Windows rolled down, taking in the smell of the sweet grass, and dried leaves.
Seeing all the birds gathering themselves together. Flying south in preparation of winter.
Never quite knowing which way the wind blows from. Where it will lead us, or in which direction we should go. Fall reminds us, a bitter winter is coming. So be greatful for today, while its still here.
I love coming home after a day out in the Autumn air, and cooking food for my family over an open fire. It reminds me of summer. And reminds me to be thankful for experiences, once had.
Top off dinner with an nice tall mug of your favorite beverage (a&w cream soda for me)
Sit back with your loved ones, and enjoy a beautiful sunset together. Thanking God for the beauty He has surrounded us with on this beautiful fall day.
This is what fall means to me. What does fall mean to you?
