Outtakes

In photography, we are always striving for perfection.
Always trying to get the perfect light, the perfect pose, the perfect shot.
When I look through the photos while editing, a favorite or two always stand out to me.  Something that makes me proud, or a shot that makes me smile.  Sometimes its not the perfect shot that becomes my favorite.  Sometimes its the shot that would never be hung on a wall, or in a gallery.
Its a picture of kids being kids.  Silly and fun and beautiful.

Or sometimes its of a dad, enjoying his child.

Alot of photographers delete these pictures, and they never see the light of day.  I treasure them.  They remind me to not take life so seriously.  They remind me, that these clients are more than just clients.  These pictures let me know, they are having fun at our sessions.  And that fact alone, makes me a happy girl!
